Who am I?
WRITER | DIRECTOR | STORY ARTIST | CONCEPT ARTIST | MENTOR
BASED IN BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA

I am a skilled storyteller, board artist, concept artist and illustrator proficient in areas across animation, games and film pre-production. I aim to put storytelling into everything that I do, and love to encourage fun, representation and diversity in my work. I was born in England, and am currently based in Brisbane, Australia. I have dual citizenship across both countries.
As part of my Bachelor's of Animation, I lead a team of 25 people in creating 'The Tragic Life of a Fishman', a silly short film that I wrote, directed, and contributed to in almost every step of the pipeline. I also worked as a concept artist across two other graduate films, designing backgrounds and a logo that fit in seamlessly with each production.

Last year, I was awarded my Honours degree in Animation, and created an animated social media series 'Doghouse: For Rent' as my practical project. I also worked as a freelance storyboard artist on an unreleased VTuber project, and produced an animatic timed to music. In addition to this, I have been working as a mentor at Autism Queensland across multiple social and creative groups, guiding participants with their individual creative projects and facilitating a positive social environment.

Whatcha doin?Honestly, most likely this: But I also have a huge collection of hobbies, so maybe I'm doing one of those! I love painting, crochet, jewellery making, and pretty much anything creative I can get my hands on. Otherwise, I'm probably just hanging out. Casual stuff. Have you looked at your wardrobe recently? No reason, just curious. Or maybe I'm doing some fun makeup! I love painting cool designs on my face, it's so much fun!

Why do you go by crowsfoot.ash online?Amazing question, thank you for asking. Obviously, the "ash" is for my name, but the "crowsfoot" has a sad, sad story behind it. A few years ago, I bought a taxidermy crow's foot necklace on Etsy, and loved it so much that it became a staple of every outfit. It was my prized possession, I never let it out of my sight... Until I left it on my bedside table. My housemate's dog walked in, enchanted by the smell. I tried to run after her, but greyhounds happen to be kinda fast. Finally, I found her in the garden... Next to the remains of my beloved necklace. I still love her though, she's just a goofy dog after all. But ever since that terrible day, I've never let her even sniff my room again.
